Hey Buddy, Iligo mo lang iyan at siguradong init lang ng katawan 'yan. NPA had its purpose served in WW II only. Now it's just a GOD damn excuse for people who can't make things happen for themselves because of their own misery. "Blame it on someone" is the best excuse of that far-ty. Get up, work hard, make money and stop blaming on imperialism dick shit and other old story propaganda that are supposed to be in the museum box. It's the entreprenuerial world for f---'s sake. And if you're left out nothing because of your stupidity, well try it again. This organization is slowly phasing out. You can keep on with your fight while the rest of the world makes a lot of money before your eyes and next thing you know, you're freakin' old, rusty, needed social welfare to live and enjoy your pathetic retirement years. Worst yet is if your kids are stupid enough to listen to all the bullshit they grew up with and followed your footsteps, then you have just created a duplication of misery within your roots and made hell in both present life and after life.

AFP Terror Campaign in Surigao del Sur Backfired, more than 60 AFP troops killed. Jorge "Ka Oris" Madlos Spokesperson NDF-Mindanao June 03, 2005 The terror campaign dubbed "Oplan Nazareth" led by the 4th ID PA in Surigao Del Sur starting March 27 up to May 15 against the people and the revolutionary movement backfired. Aiming to flush out the NPA guerrillas in the area to clear the way for wanton logging and mining, these marauding mercenaries instead incurred deaths of more than 60 AFP troops, dislocated more than 3,000 local populations in 5 municipalities and violated various human rights thus earning the hatred of the people. The AFP lost heavily in five battle incidents since April 3 to May 12, between five battalions of AFP troops and utterly outnumbered NPA guerillas along the borders of the municipalities of Marihatag, San Agustin, Lianga, San Miguel and Tago, Surigao Del Sur. There were more than 60 dead AFP personnel including two army lieutenants and an undetermined number of wounded. Although the AFP seized NPA stocks of explosives and ordnance equipments, there was no NPA casualty. True to form as terrorists, the AFP wrought havocs to the people in Surigao del Sur. Defeated by daring NPA tactical offensives, the desperate reactionary troops turned their ire against the people, launching heavy artillery shelling, aerial bombings and strafing. They burned 6 houses and destroyed crops, killed a farmer and tortured 6 others, arbitrarily arrested settlers and lumad, four of whom remain missing. This terror campaign forced the people to seek refuge in the evacuation centers and dislocated more than 500 families. Under the US-Arroyo regime, we expect more military terror campaign to befall upon the people. The people of Surigao Del Sur were victims of atrocities before at the height of the AFP's "Oplan Lambat Bitag" in 1992. After 12 years, they have rebuilt their economy, launched land reform, establish schools, cooperatives and other developments, only to be attacked once again by these fascist mercenaries. GMA declared Caraga region, Compostela Valley and Davao Provinces exempted from log ban and offered these areas to foreign investors. It is in these areas where military operation is most intense in Mindanao. There were also intense military operations in areas claimed by Western Mining in South Cotabato, in Liguashan Marsh where natural gas is most abundant and other parts of Mindanao. Caraga Region is listed among the priority target for AFP "counter-insurgency" operation nationwide along with Southern Mindanao, Southern Tagalog, Bicol region and Central Luzon. The 4th ID PA is having their focus in Compostela Valley-Davao Oriental and Surigao del Sur areas. Their first phase operation that started last March 27 to April 7, 2005 ended in failure when one of their four columns was ambushed by the NPA last April 3. The NPA confiscated 1 M16 rifle, 1 Night Vision goggles and one riflescope with no NPA casualty. This AFP battalion operation was supposed to "soften" the area for a more vicious and massive attacks later. Their second phase operation started last April 27 and subsided in May 15, 2005. Although they deployed almost 5 battalions in a four-column pincer-attack deep in central Surigao Del Sur, this ended even more disastrously: May 2 - NPA snipers killed 2nd Lt. Julian Ross Yandog and the radioman of the Deep Recon Company (DRC) that triggered a crossfire killing 5 more enemies. May 5 - NPA snipers that position themselves between two enemy groups struck again killing two enemies. This caused a pandemonium of cross fires, and 6 big explosions resulting to the death of many AFP soldiers. The next day, residents and passers-by counted at least 47 dead bodies transported by helicopters and lined-up along the "coast way" of Diatagon, Lianga. May 11 - the converging AFP units in Sitio Magkahunaw captured NPA explosives and ordnance equipment. As they moved out of the area, NPA snipers detonated bombs in Km19, causing undetermined enemy casualties. May 12 - an NPA unit encountered enemy column in Wenford line, San Miguel resulting to the death of two and wounding of another AFP soldier. Again, crossfire ensued among the AFP troops, causing undetermined casualties. With a total of more than 60 soldiers dead, plus undetermined number of wounded, with no NPA casualty, "Oplan Nazareth" was a total fiasco. Why? First, the AFP could not win the people's support because their aim is to destroy the political, economic and cultural gains of the people accumulated through the people's struggle. Second, as it came out the 4th ID led operation was badly planned and executed, endangering the safety of their own troops. Third, corruption in the AFP that resulted in poor intelligence work and inadequate communication equipments and supplies is causing low morale among their troops. We ask the AFP rank and files to support the people's struggle and not the corrupt and puppet US-Arroyo regime. We appreciate the local officials' help to the evacuees. The rampant human rights violation and the cloak of secrecy as to the number of casualties in "Oplan Nazareth" deserve an impartial investigation from well-meaning groups and lawmakers in Mindanao. Let us broaden and strengthen the people's movement against the intensifying state fascism and defend the gains of our people's struggle. We call on the religious sector and the middle forces to stand actively by the side of the people. In spite of the current state of violence against journalists, we dare the media sector to expose and oppose the true anti-people character of the US-GMA regime. Victimizing Its Own and the People From April 28 to May 15, 2005, the 4th ID, employing no less than 4 battalions and a Scout Ranger Company, launched massive military operations against the New People's Army within the 6 municipalities surrounding Andap Valley. Their objective: clear Andap Valley of the New People's Army. In going after the red fighters, the mercenary Armed Forces of the Philippines incurred a number of casualties. Finding not even a single member of the New People's Army, they directed their wrath to the lumad and peasant residents causing more than three thousand residents from hinterland communities of Lianga, San Agustin, Marihatag, Cagwait, Tago and San Miguel, to evacuate because of widespread military abuses and in fear for their lives. The same thing happened in Buenavista and Nasipit in Agusan del Norte and in Compostela Valley Province late 2004 and early this year. 535 cases of human rights violations has been recorded in the Southern Mindanao Region with 19,374 victims. The New People's Army has long since been operating in those areas. Why the sudden interest? The true motive... In July last year, the US-Arroyo regime declared the Philippines under fiscal crisis and that there is an immediate need to revitalize the economy. It meant higher tax measures for the majority of the Filipino people while foreign and local investors were provided with tax holidays and amnesties to "encourage" capital inflow to the country. Committed to sacrificing patrimony and the people to the altar of capitalist greed, the US-Arroyo regime ensured the unhindered plunder of Philippine minerals even at the expense of the Supreme Court's integrity as it overturned early this year its own decision on the constitutionality of the Mining Act of 1995. Immediately after, it held an International Mining Conference attended by the biggest foreign mining companies facing cases of environmental degradation in their own countries and outside. Andap Valley, the site of the recent military operations in Surigao Sur has always been a target of mining companies. In 1980 Benguet Corporation acquired exploration and mining rights to 6 coal blocks (6,000 has.) which encompass the towns of Lianga, San Agustin, Marihatag and San Miguel. Dubbed Surigao Coal Project, the property lies within the concession area of the Lianga Bay Logging Company. In 1984, Benguet Corp. suspended its operations allegedly due to the unstable peace and order situation in the area. Even then, the presence of the revolutionary movement, vocal in its struggle against large-scale mining, was palpable. Presently, Benguet Corporation is set to revive its Surigao Coal Project. The PNOC-EC also has exploration and development activities in the coal rich Andap Valley. In other parts of the island, Toronto Ventures Inc. (TVI) is setting its sight to mining in Western Mindanao, Sagitarrius Mining Inc. (SMI) to Tampacan, South Cotabato and South Eastern Mining (SEM) of the Bernardinos, is targeting Compostela Valley. The King King Copper-Gold Project of Benguet Corporation is also situated in Compostela Valley. As of January 2005, there had been 209 MPSA issuances. 23 of the 65 MPSAs in Mindanao cover Surigao del Norte. Apex Mining Corporation has two MPSA applications and covers the Compostela Valley Provinces while PHISAGA Mining Corporation is applying for 2,538.7919 has. in Agusan del Sur and Hinatuan Mining Corporation for 2,426.5100 has. in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Exploration Permits has been awarded to PHILCO Mining with 2,170.82 has. in Compostela Valley, PHILSAGA with 3,132.31 has. in Agusan Sur and Minimax Mineral Exploration Corporation with 1,939.57 has. in Surigao del Norte. Application for Exploration Permits has reached 21, 9 of which are in Mindanao with PNOC-EDC at 5,893.9218 has. in Zamboanga del Sur, Makilala Mining Co. Inc. with 3,402 has. in Sultan Kudarat and 12,102.58 has. in Surigao del Norte under 5 mining corporations. The opening up of Philippine forests to rapacious foreign and local firms remained unconstrained by the deaths of thousands and the destruction of properties and infrastructures worth millions wrought by the flash floods in the Quezon provinces. Its declaration of a total log ban only mere appeasement of the peoples' demand for an end to rapacious logging which caused the calamity. Instead, it became the stepping stone for the Arroyo regime to declare the remaining forests of the Davao Provinces, Zamboanga and the Caraga regions - the only remaining loggable forests in the country - as logging areas. As of February 2005 there are 13 active Timber License Agreements (TLA) covering 543,939 has. 8 of these covering 268,104 has. are in Mindanao. 5 of the TLAs are in the CARAGA region covering 236,288 has., largest are those held by SUDECOR of the Puyat Family, Artimco of the San Victores, PICOP Resources Inc. (PRI) of the Bernardinos all in Surigao Sur. In the two Agusan provinces, Agusan Wood Industries and NALCO (Nasipit Lumber Co.) still holds large logging concessions. These aside from the 183 IFMAs issued, 105 of which are in Mindanao. PRI is among the biggest holders IFMA holders. Clearly, for the Arroyo regime, mining and logging remain as the biggest revenue earners. They turn a blind eye to the destruction and loss of lives it has wrought and would entail in the near future. These mineral and timber rich provinces are the most militarized proving once again that the Armed Forces of the Philippines are but mercenaries of imperialist and local capitalists to subdue the people and clear the way for unrestricted exploitation. They, at the behest of their superiors, are guard dogs of imperialist economic concerns from which the GMA regime milk dirty money. ... Counter-Insurgency The revolutionary movement has always been firm in its commitment to promote and protect the interest of the majority of the Filipino people. Its presence in the areas of economic concerns, an encumbrance for a regime bent on servitude to its imperialist and capitalist masters. Because of this, it directed its counter-insurgency activities towards CARAGA, Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental -- areas of economic interests of greedy multi-national and trans-national resource extraction companies. Specific target in CARAGA is Surigao Sur, in particular, the mineral rich Andap Valley Complex. The military believe that the forested areas within Andap Valley hosts a large force of the New People's Army because its neighboring communities has been the venue for recent major activities of the National Democratic Front in Mindanao. The December 26 celebration of the founding anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippine?s and the Tri-Media get-together in January 6 of the following year, was attended by biggest names in Mindanao politics and personalities in Mindanao. But Surigao Sur has also been a place of great defeats for the military. In the late 80's and early 90's - the height of intense militarization in Surigao Sur, the enemy incurred big losses in its anti-insurgency campaign. In Lindoy, Tago the military had 60 casualties and 52 in Aras-asan, Cagwait. The massive bombing, human rights violations and military abuses resulted to evacuations of the mountain communities. When militarization settled down, the lumads and peasants returned to their communities and began rebuilding. Through their collective efforts, their livelihood and thus their communities flourished. The military however, looks at the development of the communities as spurned by the revolutionary movement. Because of this, there has been no real let up of militarization and military abuses in these communities. 12 years after the massive dislocations in the late 80's and early 90's, these communities are once again victims of another round of terrorist campaign all for the interest of large mining and logging companies. CHRONOLOGY In preparation for the entry of mining companies and continuing logging activities, a counter-insurgency campaign was launched of which intensity was aimed to surpass by a thousand fold what they believe is the size of the New People's Army operating in the area. Phase1: Probing Operation Elements of the 58th IB PA launched a military operation against the NPA. This was aimed at gauging the strength of the NPA in the area. But on December 16, 2004 they were hit by NPA snipers of the Pulang Diwata Command near the Sabang River in Marihatag. There was an undetermined number of casualties from the military. Phase2: Major Operation Realizing that a small sized military force would not suffice, it launched a major operation employing 4 colums: 3 from the 58th IB PA and 1 column of the Deep Reconnaissance Company (DRC). This started on March 27 and ended April 7, 2005. On April 3 however, a team of the PDC-NPA ambushed one of the enemy columns and seized an M16 rifle, a night vision goggles and a telescope. A militaryman was killed while 5 were wounded. The NPA incurred no casualty. Phase3: Massive operation: A massive military operation was launched from April 28 to May 15, 2005, employing no less than 2 battalions of the Special Forces, the 36th and 58th IB PA, 42nd Deep Reconnaissance Company (DRC) and the Scout Rangers Company Class 158-04. The military operation was directed by the 4th ID and used OV-10 Bronco Bomber Planes, MG-520 gunship helicopters, Huey helicopters and 105 and 155 artillery guns. They entered the Andap Valley from 4 different directions and converged in the middle. On May 2, the enemy column from Cagwait going towards the Sabang River in Marihatag was hit by NPA snipers. 2nd Lt. Julian Ross Yandug of the 36th IB PA and a radioman were killed. Another 5 military men were killed because of the crossfire between 2 enemy columns brought about by the sniping. On May 5, an enemy column in Andap was hit by NPA snipers killing a Lt. and the radioman. Once again there was crossfire among the military which resulted to the death of 47 military men. The military casualties were seen by Diatagon residents being washed, laid in line and put into cadaver bags along the Coastway by military men. 6 large explosions were heard that day in the mountain areas. From May 6 until May 10, the forested areas were bombed by the military. On May 9, residents of far flung communities evacuated to Han-ayan because of the bombings and military abuses that victimized simple farmers. On May 11, military men discovered the cave where more than a ton of explosives, ordnance equipments and some fire-arms for repair of the PDC-NPA were stored. They were however, waylaid on their way home by ATMs detonated by the red fighters NPA which killed an undetermined number of military men. On May 12, Jessie Bacasmas, a lumad was shot by the military in Km. 9 during evacuation. On May 13 until May 14, the residents of the communities evacuated to Diatagon, driven away from their communities by the fascist military. Human rights violations of the military: arbitrary arrest of 7 farmers evacuation of more than 2,000 residents affecting 6 municipalities Date Military Casualties Wounded April 3 1 5 May 2 8 Undetermined May 5 47 Undetermined May 11 undetermined 5 May 12 undetermined undetermined Not finding a single red fighter, they turned to the simple peasants and lumads unmindful of their human rights. The torture, killing, bombings, abductions, physical assault and various other human rights violations further isolate the enemy from the people. These acts totally proving the terrorist character of the mercenary AFP.

The NPA movement is nothing but fascism veiled in the pretext of freedom and equality for all, but deep in the system are lies, bigotry and extreme acts of terrorism. Yes, they are growing in numbers by terrorizing communities in far-flung barangays, brainwashing people of self-centered interests. Community organizing and people empowerment are good if used to improve people's way of life like farming and alternative livelihoods. On the contrary, they teach ordinary people the art of arm struggle and coercion. They themselves use force and threat to ensure compliance with the rest of the community. Instead of enforcing the value of hard work, they encourage robbing the portions of landowners. More so disturbing, they extend such dependence on food and other necessities from people who are as unfortunate as them. As if these are not enough, they destroy public properties which would have given the communities at large even the basic luxuries in life. Where's equality? Isn't this pure and simple case of serving your vested interests? Brood of coward arrogants, you use ordinary people as fronts in your war. Why? some called "leaders" are not even natives of the communities they are operating and, as bubbles in the air, go into oblivion as the going gets tough. War and arms struggle is not the answer to your grievances, and exploiting the lives of ordinary citizens is unacceptable. Difficult may be, but there are always proper channels to air our distaste of the government. Let's not unwittingly burn ourselves on stake. Peace!

But it is synonymous with total and absolute control by the 'state'. If I have the choice of only two houses ... wherein one beats me daily and the other only every second day ... I shall choose the latter .... Utter tripe. Socialism and communism are a pipedream of the underachievers. Terrorism and fear are their offerings. Socialism and communism stand for TOTAL domination, suppression and control of the 'ordinary' people for the benifit of a few tyrants ..... using terror and fear to enforce their will .... offering no possible chance of betterment through hard work and merrit. God help us all if socialism and communism dominate all countries. You think you have it bad now ... ask the people of the countries that are such now .... if you can.
