In the past, I was really sketchy about those third-party applications on Facebook.. seeing that they already mess up Friendster as it is. The invitation system has cooled down my animosity somewhat. I have some apps on my page, too... but I have the ones I really want. YAY for choice!

Hmmmmm... Crackbook's running a little slow. Modifications? Server traffic? Or could this possibly lead to a DNS attack?

I actually don't use facebook all that much.. not many wall writings, I'm really bad at replying to messages.. I have a couple poking wars going on, but that's about it.

I joined Friendster almost 2 years ago, but I haven't had the success of running into old friends, classmates and all that most people have had. Friendster wasn't exactly user-friendly either, I hated their set-up. Connections were always slow and they had too many problems for it to be worth my while. Personally, those reasons alone kept me from becoming a regular user. Add to that some personal reasons, I've actually had to delete my account.

Some people have explained that Facebook is just "that much" better than Friendster. I believe it, it's current explosion speaks for itself. If it truly is that much better and perhaps give me a better success rate, it's still not enough for me to consider signing up. If old friends REALLY want to find me, I'm just a phone call away. I've had the same land-line number since high school and with a quick flip through the white pages, you can find me.

It's great to hear others find long lost friends, more power to you. This just isn't for me. *shrugs*

that's like my other-half. she doesn't find it necessary to join. she said she has her friendster and if they REALLY REALLY REALLY want to connect with those people, she'd have done so by now. and if they REALLY REALLY REALLY wanna find her, they can search, and what the hey...i'm there. they know they can find her through me...lolz!

That's another thing that has contributed to the Facebook boom. You can organize your parties there, as well as let your friends know where you want to hang just for the heck of it.
